On Shavuot, Jews read the Book of Ruth. It's an amazing piece of literature. We will discuss the narrative and the importance of Ruth and Naomi's faith and devotion. What else do we know about Shavuot? Bethany Leinweber will host a discussion about this festival. We'll explore Shavuot a the commemoration of the revelation of the Torah and its agricultural origins. We will discover the connection between the seven species of Israel that we discussed at our Tu B'Shevat Seder. There will be songs and recipes to enrich our celebration.
