Temple Sinai offers several funds as ways to earmark your donations for specific uses. Many congregants contribute to these funds as recognition or thanks for a special event or special occasion.

FUND OPTIONS:


General Fund: Where the Need is the Greatest  - If you don't have a specific fund in mind, donate where the need is greatest. 


Adult Program Fund - This fund shall be used to support adult programming as determined by the Program Director and Vice President of Education.


Anchin Fund - This fund provides assistance in meeting Temple Sinai dues, Religious School tuition and assessments for those members unable to fully afford to pay their Temple Sinai dues, tuition and assessments.


Building and Maintenance Fund - This fund provides for capital improvements or unusual building or property expenses. 


Chazzan Discretionary Fund - The Chazzan shall determine the use of the funds for needs and projects consistent with the religious, educational and charitable purposes of Temple Sinai.


Cecile T.  Alexander Sound and Production Enhancement Fund - This fund will support and enhance the audio and visual capabilities of the synagogue.


Early Childhood Director's Discretionary Fund - The Director shall determine the use of the funds for needs and projects consistent with the religious, educational, and charitable purposes of Temple Sinai. 


Library Fund - The fund shall be used to purchase books, library materials and capital materials as needed for the Temple Library.


Fanchon D. Rosenstein Social Action - The fund shall be used to promote activities with a social action focus.


Gan Fund - The purpose of the fund is to provide the funds for student scholarships and for the enrichment of the Gan program.


Horay Sinai Fund - This is to provide funds to make Jewish holiday celebrations/activities a more fun and joyous time for children in our Religious School.


Marx Educational Fund - The funds shall provide the basis for programs and activities for the education and cultural enrichment of the Confirmation Class.


Mortgage Retirement Fund - This fund to be used to make payments towards current and future mortgages at Temple Sinai.


Pick-Me-Up Rides Program Fund - This fund shall be used for transportation of members over 65 or with special needs that are otherwise unable to attend temple events.


Rabbi Geoffrey Huntting Endowment Fund - In honor of the Rabbi's retirement after 23 years of dedicated service to Temple Sinai. Be remembered forever at Temple Sinai with a gift in your will, trust, retirement account or life insurance policy.


Reb Ari Shapiro Adult Education Fund - The earnings from this fund will be used to provide a stipend for an Adult Education instructor. 


Religious School Director's Discretionary Fund - The Director shall determine the use of the funds for needs and projects consistent with the religious, educational and charitable purposes of Temple Sinai.


Robert A. Malkin Facilities Enhancement Fund - The fund shall be used to enhance the facilities for the benefit of Temple Sinai members.


Robert L. Baseman Fund for the Enhancement and Promotion of Temple Sinai - This Fund is to provide a financial base for the development and publication of effective professional marketing tools and documents that enhance, support and publicize Temple Sinai's Ritual, Education, Social, Fund-raising, and Membership recruitment programs.


Sherry Linhart Flower Fund - This fund will pay for bimah flowers on holidays and special occasions.


Sinai Men's Club Landscaping and Beautification Fund - This fund shall be used to enhance the property occupied by Temple Sinai on Lockwood Ridge Road by planting and maintaining trees and shrubs and other improvements as suggested in the Landscaping Master Plan.


Torat Chayim Fund - The Torat Chayim Fund, has been set up to encourage donations to maintain and repair our Torah scrolls on an ongoing basis. Torat chayim literally means "Torah of life" and is used to describe learning that is intended to have practical application, as opposed to Torah lishmah, learning for its own sake.  


URJ Camp Scholarship Fund Scholarship - Funds to send children to Union for Reform Judasim camps and NFTY Youth Israel trips.


Youth Group Fund - This fund shall be used to fund youth activities.
