THE SARASOTA EXPERIENCE is an original feature documentary sharing the story of Sarasota, Florida, from its indigenous population to its time as a sleepy fishing village, to the transformative city it is today. Historian Jeff LaHurd and leading figures throughout the Sarasota community come together in this hour-long presentation to share the impactful stories and key figures behind the city and what creates a thriving community.

Directed and produced by Shaun Greenspan of Triforce Pictures, The Sarasota Experience features stories about the impact of the Civil Rights Movement on the region and the area’s leading role in preserving and protecting the natural environment. With help from local experts, the film shares the rich history behind Sarasota’s first settlers, the creation of Sarasota County, the experience of the Roaring Twenties, the World War II era, and highlights of the 1950s and beyond."
