This course is an ever evolving discussion class on the history and practice of what and why certain music is sung in the synagogue. It is believed that synagogue music is one of the best barometers of the socio-economic and spiritual condition of the Jewish world. Come and learn what these musical/barometric indicators have been; are and might be in the future.
