Bar/Bat Mitzvah Training

Becoming a Bar/Bat Mitzvah is a joyous and significant life cycle event. It is a milestone for the entire family and a simcha for the whole congregation. It is the point at which anytime after 13 years of age we choose to accept the responsibilities and privileges of being a Jewish adult. At Temple Sinai, the Bar/Bat Mitzvah leads the congregation in prayer and is called to the Torah at Shabbat morning services.
We are committed to:
- Creating an environment in which our students of all ages can gain ownership of the tools necessary to read, chant, and understand what Torah, prayer and the entire Bar/Bat Mitzvah experience is about.
- Developing a relationship between our students, Rabbi, and Hazzan so that students feel free to ask the kinds of questions that will create a desire to learn more about the Jewish world.
